Sometimes white bread isn't enough. That's when Bacon Cheese And Onion Bread saves the day and possibly the entire weekend. This bread is ridiculously easy and quick to make. Ingredients for our Bacon Cheese & Onion Bread
Bread dough:
250 mls warm milk (room temp)
1 egg beaten
7 grams active yeast or 2 and a half tsp bakers yeast
40 grams of sugar
400 grams of high grade flour (11 - 12 percent protein)
1/2 tsp salt
Bacon Onion Filling:
2 tbsp chopped garlic (optional)
2 spring onions/scallions finely chopped
2 large rashers bacon finely chopped
1/2 cup of freshly grated parmesan cheese
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for top of loaf during baking)
Cook in a large loaf tin, in fan forced oven at 180 degrees C for 17 - 20 minutes )
