There is nothing better on a Sunday afternoon than a cup of tea and a cheesy savoury scone. This recipe was developed by a friend of mine, who I am super grateful to. The flavours here absolutely blew me away. What's more these are perfect for freezing. Although this recipe is vegetarian, you can add bacon or ham to these if you you want. Ok then, let's get these cheesy savoury scones made.......
2 cups high grade flour
1 tsp icing sugar
Pinch cayenne pepper
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cornflour
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp butter (melted)
1 cup grated cheese
1/2 cup lemonade
1/2 cup milk
1/2 red onion finely chopped
1 tsp mixed herbs
Small amount spinach leaves and parsley chopped
Reserved grated cheese for topping
Smoked paprika to sprinkle over before baking (optional)
