The more I discover about Turkish food the more I love the textures and flavour combinations. This Turkish Lamb Burger is the first burger I have made that did not have any cheese in it. It was not missed, as the other flavours contributed to a fresh and vibrant burger, light in style and so aromatic from the garlic and olive oil. This is an unexpected and gorgeous treat.

INGREEDIENTS FOR TURKISH LAMB BURGER

  • 500g lamb minced
  • 1/2 red onion finely chopped
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 Turkish bread rolls
  • Eggplant humus dip
  • 50g baby spinach leaves chopped finely
  • 2 medium tomatoes thinly sliced
  • Cucumber peeled and sliced thinly
  • Sweet chili sauce (optional)
